Using the pen tool to draw the outline - below is the screenshot of my third attempt at using the pen tool to draw the outline. The first and the second was was really bad, the lines were all jagged because I didn't really know how to use the pen tool properly, so I asked James how to make my lines smoother and he told me to try not join up my lines little by little, so you get a much smoother line.
I also asked James how to make the ends of my lines taper off and he showed me how by using the width tool to shape it

After finishing the outline for Honolulu, I felt so much more confident in using the pen tool
