Kristyna Baczynski gave us a lecture today about her work and brought along some of her sketchbooks. I really like the pattern pages she's made in them and whilst looking for inspiration on vector based illustrations on Pinterest, I also ran into some snazzy looking repeat patterns (and similar stuff). They all focus on really simplified shapes and limited colour palettes which I want to try and focus on - I quite like the idea of including all of the things associated with my chosen cities as a repeat pattern instead of cramming them all together to make a scenery out of it - but is it too late to change directions now? probably.
