I started this task by experimenting with the ready made textured brush and the eraser tool on photoshop. I really like the textural and sort of hand made/analogue qualities of these:-

I then wanted to try this out with the normal (not textured) brush and decided to add some gradient to make it look less flat. I like how, by using this brush, I get a sharper, more graphic, bold look to my work:-

I also tried out some collage work, but I'm not a big fan of this. It's too time consuming and sticky:-
